Two weeks ago, I had the privilege of attending the 2019 Silhouette Summit in Hawaii. This annual meeting brings retailers, influencers, designers and Silhouette staff together to showcase new products and provide opportunities for input into future enhancements for hardware and software.
Silhouette announced several new machines at this conference. The machines we saw were all prototypes and are subject to changes between now and the release date. With permission, I can share a few details and photos here, but keep in mind, machine colors and ultimate design and features are still subject to change. The new machines are scheduled to be rolled out beginning in the Fall of 2019 and continuing into early 2020.
The Cameo 4 (12″ cutting width) is scheduled for release this fall. The new 15″ and 20″ models are scheduled for release in early 2020. These new Cameos will have more downward force, which enables the use of several new tools, including the Autoblade 2, a rotary blade, a Kraft blade and a new weeding tool (no, it does not weed for you). They are 3x as fast as the current Cameo. The 12″ and 15″ machines will have a built in roller feeder, while the 20″ is scheduled to have an attachable roll feeder.
New consumable products were also introduced. Some products are new and some familiar products have had a facelift. Here’s a peek at some of the samples created by the Silhouette staff.
And, even more exciting are all the changes being made to Silhouette Studio. These changes are in closed Beta testing right now and are constantly being fine-tuned, so I won’t spill the beans, but trust me … you are going to LOVE the new enhancements!!
Lest you think it was all work and no play, let me assure you, there was good food and some sightseeing along the way.
Best of all was sharing this exciting adventure with good friends.
One last photo … the view from our hotel room! Truly a paradise!
I will keep you posted as more information becomes available. Watch for updates in my FB group, Libby’s Craft and Sewing Group.
Until then,
Happy Crafting!!
